Yep, I used the photo for the general outline and lighting of the picture. But unfortunately my references were always so tiny, so most of the texture is improvised.
Next time, I'm hoping to get a reference in high resolution to make it easier! :D

Wow! The shine in the water makes it so believable and adds so much dimension to the surface it's on, the face is so sculptural, I love the lashes pointed with the moisture, and I'm dying over the proportion of the frame - it's incredible!!

The texture here is amazing, it really makes the perfect flatness of the water's tone contrast, and makes it incredibly believable.
